DIRECT DRIVEN VACUUM PUMP

directdriven.gif (23241 bytes) TORR Direct driven Vacuum Pumps are first of its kind manufactured by any Indian Company. With introduction of this series company has reached the technology at par with the international standards which ensure matching performance with any world leader. These Pumps are coupled directly to the electric motor and run at much higher rpm than that of conventional belt driven vacuum pump.

SALIENT FEATURES

  • It requires less quantity of oil
  • Compact in size
  • Least oil contamination
  • Low power consumption
  • Overall battery efficiency
  • Higher vacuum
  • Low operating cost
  • Easy servicing
  • No maintenance
  • Less prone to corrosion
  • More suitable to moisture handling

PUMPING MECHANISM:

The rotor is mounted eccentrically in the pump cylinder. The three radially sliding vanes divide the pump chambers into three sections. Due to rapid rotation of the rotor the vanes are forced to slide against the cylinder walls by means of centrifugal force. The pumping is brought about by alternately increasing and decreasing the volume of the working space which is of crescent shape in the cross section. The component parts as of the pumps are sealed by rubber 'O' rings. All parts are pined to ensure easy disassembling and reassembling.
